Prabowo Cabinet Reshuffle: Hasan Nasbi to Dudung Join In
President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate a number of officials on Monday, 27 April 2026. By Monday afternoon, several candidates for the Merah Putih Cabinet had arrived at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to attend the inauguration ceremony.
Among those present were Presidential Special Advisor on National Defence, TNI General (Retired) Dudung Abdurachman, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari, and Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol.
In addition, there was former Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi, former Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers Abdul Kadir Karding, and labour union leader Jumhur Hidayat.
However, they all declined to reveal details of the positions they would assume after the inauguration today. “I’m here because there’s an inauguration, but I don’t know what inauguration yet,” said Jumhur, who is rumoured to become the Minister of Environment, upon arriving at the Palace this afternoon with his children and wife.
Meanwhile, Qodari said he received an invitation for the inauguration from Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. “The President asked me to help with the communication process, to communicate maximally for the government’s work programme,” he stated.
Qodari is rumoured to take the position of Head of the Indonesian Government Communications Agency, currently held by Angga Raka Prabowo.
Dudung mentioned that he had received instructions from Prabowo regarding tasks in the Presidential Staff Office, which he is rumoured to head after today’s inauguration. “I’ll explain after being inaugurated,” he said.
Dudung stated he is ready for any task from Prabowo. “I’m a soldier, I must be ready, especially the President’s orders,” said the former Army Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Army.
In addition, Hasan Nasbi, who was also present at the Palace today, is rumoured to become the President’s Special Envoy for Communications. Abdul Kadir Karding is said to take the position of Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq is rumoured to become Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs.
