Prabowo Brings Together Ex-Presidents and Party Leaders: What Was Discussed?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto gathered former presidents, former foreign ministers, and the chairmen of political parties from Parliament at the Istana in Jakarta on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

The gathering, lasting around three and a half hours, was attended by the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla (JK), Boediono (the 11th Vice President), and Ma’ruf Amin (the 13th Vice President). Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and the ranks of the Merah Putih Cabinet also attended the meeting.

“The President explained various things related to geopolitical developments and Indonesia’s readiness to face all global dynamics. Specifically in the context of energy and several other issues,” said Bahlil after the meeting.

Al Muzzammil Yusuf revealed that Prabowo explained Indonesia’s membership in the Board of Peace (BoP) and developments in Iran. “He explained the hardest options among those available.
