Prabowo Briefs 1,000 Seskoad Officers in Bandung
President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to visit Bandung, West Java, on Monday (25 May) to brief 1,000 officer cadets from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police at the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad). The head of state will address Sesko TNI and Sespimti Police cadets, Sesko Army, Navy, Air Force officers, and Sesmpimmen Police cadets. The visit also includes the official opening of Seskoad’s library and museum. Previously, Prabowo addressed participants of the Presidential Future Leaders Program (PFLP) 2026 in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday (24 May). The programme is a strategic initiative to develop future leaders for state-owned enterprises (BUMN). Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that the PFLP was designed directly by President Prabowo to strengthen leadership quality within BUMN. ‘This programme, specifically designed by the President, is intended to shape future leaders for BUMN companies,’ Teddy stated in an official release. The first cohort includes 400 participants, part of the government’s effort to build high-quality human resources in the state-owned enterprise sector. ‘PFLP supports President Prabowo’s vision for good BUMN governance through strengthening human resources with both best heart and best mind,’ Teddy added. Gerindra Party spokesperson Bahtra Banong assessed President Prabowo Subianto’s statement as showing respect and gratitude towards PDIP and Megawati Soekarnoputri for reconciliation. The President has instructed ministers and agency heads to clean bureaucracy of corruption and extortion to maintain national economic stability. President Prabowo Subianto aims to reduce poverty to 6.0-6.5% by 2027 during his presentation of the Macro-Economic Framework and Fiscal Policy Outline at the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives’ plenary session agenda includes the presentation of the Macro-Economic Framework, Fiscal Policy Outline, and 2027 State Budget (RAPBN) by President Prabowo Subianto. Agung emphasised that cabinet reshuffles are expected to improve various sectors, including public communication and government administration. Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna has prepared viewing points at Dome Bale Rame and district locations to alleviate congestion at GBLA Stadium for the Persib vs Persijap match. West Java Police have seized hundreds of flares, firecrackers, and alcohol at GBLA Stadium ahead of the Persib vs Persijap match. Thousands of joint personnel are on standby to secure the event. PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung advises train passengers not to wear football club attire and to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion during the match. Farhan requested special attention to strategic routes such as Sulanjana and Cikapayang areas to prevent crowd buildup and potential public order issues. West Java Police have deployed 2,000 personnel for the Persib vs Persijap match at GBLA, with strict four-ring security and a spectator capacity limit of 32,000.
