Prabowo Bids Farewell to Thai PM at Halim

The close relationship between President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul was evident during the farewell procession following PM Anutin’s series of official visits to Indonesia. Prabowo personally escorted his guest’s departure from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Tuesday (4/8). Arriving early at Halim Perdanakusuma, Prabowo greeted PM Anutin as he alighted from his vehicle. The two shook hands before engaging in a brief conversation in a cordial atmosphere, demonstrating the strong rapport between the two leaders. Following the welcome, Prabowo and Anutin walked together towards the aircraft. Their steps were accompanied by a salute from the honour guard lined up on both sides of the path. Prabowo then accompanied PM Anutin to the aircraft steps before bidding him farewell. Several officials were present at the send-off, including Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Indonesia Prapan Disyatat, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN Prinat Apirat, and Defence Attaché of Thailand to Indonesia Sittirat Pusongchai. The farewell procession marked the conclusion of PM Anutin’s official visit to Indonesia. During the visit, the two countries recorded several important outcomes in efforts to strengthen their strategic partnership.
