Prabowo Awards Polri Honours on 80th Bhayangkara Day
President Prabowo Subianto presented Honours to the ranks of the Indonesian National Police during the Ceremony Commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026. The event was held at the Nagara Janottama Parade Ground, Korbrimob Training Unit, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (1/7).
On this occasion, President Prabowo officially bestowed the Nugraha Sakanti Honour, the Bhayangkara Nararya Star, as well as special ranks to several recipients. The conferment was established based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres RI) Number 37 and 38/TK/Year 2026 and Number 55/POLRI/Year 2026 regarding awards and honorary promotions within the Indonesian National Police environment.
The Nugraha Sakanti award was presented to 11 units within the police force, namely Polda Metro Jaya, Polda West Java, Polda North Sumatra, Polda Riau, Polda Lampung, Polda Central Java, Polda Banten, Polda Central Kalimantan, Polda East Java, the Polri Legal Division (Divkum), and the Polri Financial Centre (Puskeu).
Additionally, the Head of State presented the Bhayangkara Nararya Star to three police personnel: Kombes Pol Ach. Prasetiyo Adhi Wibowo, serving as Police Lecturer (Widyaiswara) at the Police Middle Level III Sespim Lemdiklat Polri; AKP Nengsi Marline Warments, as Kaurrenmin Setum Polda West Papua; and Aiptu Wawan Setiyawan from the Brimob Polri Protocol Sub-unit.
Furthermore, Prabowo granted special ranks to three retired police officers as a mark of respect for their long service to the nation and state. These include Irjen Pol (Ret.) Sidarto Danusubroto, who was awarded the rank of Honorary Police Commissioner (Komjen Pol); Irjen Pol (Ret.) Taufiequrachman Ruki, who also received the rank of Honorary Police Commissioner; and Brigjen Pol (Ret.) Taufiq Effendi, who was promoted to Honorary Inspector General (Irjen Pol).
The conferment serves as a symbol of the state’s appreciation for the dedication, loyalty, and integrity of the Bhayangkara personnel in maintaining security, enforcing the law, and providing services to the public. He emphasised that these steps are part of the effort to maintain public security and order so that public spaces remain safe, comfortable, and conducive.
President Prabowo Subianto also inspected the 80th Bhayangkara Day Exhibition at Korbrimob Cikeas, emphasising technological independence and the national security industry. On this 80th Bhayangkara Day, President Prabowo Subianto urged the National Police to continue adapting and adjusting their working methods to face increasingly sophisticated criminal threats.
On the 80th Bhayangkara Day, President Prabowo Subianto also expressed appreciation for the significant contribution of the National Police in supporting food security programmes and the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative. President Prabowo Subianto asserted that the success of Indonesia’s major transformation depends on security stability and public trust in the National Police.
