President Prabowo Subianto has conferred the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna, the nation’s highest honour, upon Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The award was presented during a state visit at the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta.

Prabowo stated that the award was given in appreciation of Modi’s leadership and his contribution to strengthening Indonesia-India relations, elevating them to the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. “Today, as President of the Republic of Indonesia, I thank His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting the highest honour of the Republic of Indonesia, the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna,” Prabowo said during a joint press statement.
