Prabowo Awards Honours to Police Units and Personnel

President Prabowo Subianto awarded state honours to a number of Indonesian National Police (Polri) units and personnel during the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony at the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday. The President presented the Samkaryanugraha Sakanti honour to several Polri units, including the Legal Division, the Finance Centre, and regional police commands in Metro Jaya, Banten, Central Java, East Java, West Java, North Sumatra, Riau, Lampung, Central Kalimantan, and West Nusa Tenggara. The award was given in recognition of their service to the nation and state, specifically honouring police members who have demonstrated extraordinary courage and perseverance beyond the call of duty in advancing and developing the police force. President Prabowo also conferred honorary promotions on three retired police officials: former MPR Speaker for the 2013-2014 period, Inspector General (Ret.) Sidarto Danusubroto; former KPK Chairman for the 2015 period, Inspector General (Ret.) Taufiequrachman Ruki; and former Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform for the 2004-2009 period, Brigadier General (Ret.) Taufiq Effendi. The 2026 Bhayangkara Day celebration carried the theme ‘80 Years of Polri Serving the Community’. Dignitaries in attendance included the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo; TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto; Attorney General ST Burhanuddin; Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani; Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia; Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman; and Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto.
