Prabowo Attends Briefing, Seskoad Commander: President's Historic First Direct Address

According to the Presidential Secretariat’s Press Bureau, the event was held at the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad) complex in Bandung, West Java, on Monday, 25 May 2026. The briefing was attended by 1,095 officer cadets from the TNI and Polri undergoing training. Prabowo’s arrival was greeted by the playing of ‘Maju Tak Gentar’, echoing across the venue. A solemn atmosphere prevailed as the national anthem, ‘Indonesia Raya’, was sung to commence the event. The opening sequence continued with the simultaneous singing of the TNI march, service-specific TNI marches, and the Polri march by all attendees. Seskoad Commander Mayjen TNI Agustinus Purboyo reported the total number of attendees at Prabowo’s briefing. The participants comprised officer cadets from various branches of the TNI and Polri who had gathered for direct guidance from the Head of State. ‘President, we are proud to have 1,095 people present before you,’ said Agustinus. Following the report, the President proceeded to address the officer cadets. Before stepping onto the main stage, Prabowo shook hands with several attending officers, fostering a warm and approachable atmosphere. The briefing was conducted with solemn attention from all participants. Agustinus described the briefing as historic, noting it was the first time an active President had personally addressed officer cadets. ‘Today feels especially special, Sir, as it is the first time an active President has directly taught all Sesko students,’ Agustinus said. He added that the President’s presence in this strategic educational forum reflects the government’s strong commitment to enhancing human resource quality. The briefing also serves as a strategic preparation for officers to tackle national and global challenges. Also in attendance were several Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, TNI Chief General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and service chiefs.
