He spoke to members of the US Chamber of Commerce, US-ASEAN Business Council, and US-Indonesia Society at a business summit in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon.

“No one will invest in uncertainty. Indonesia has remained stable for a long time. We maintain an independent, active foreign policy and respect all major powers,” Prabowo said.

He emphasised his principle: “A thousand friends are too few, one enemy is too many,” applying it to both foreign relations and domestic politics.

Prabowo added that competition is important, but cooperation and compromise should remain the priority in business and governance.

He also highlighted the importance of legal certainty, clean governance, and fiscal discipline in managing state finances.

Prabowo noted that foreign investment into Indonesia reached US$53 billion last year, reflecting confidence in the country’s economic size, growth potential, and stable policies.

He introduced Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, and outlined investment opportunities for US companies to explore.

The president also highlighted government achievements over the past year, including the Free Nutritional Meal Programme and digitalising education with smart whiteboards distributed to schools.
