Prabowo assures state presence for remote communities

President Prabowo Subianto has assured that the state will always be present for the people, especially those in remote areas, so they can enjoy a good quality of life and contribute to improving local welfare. “We are only now understanding, and we must always understand, that the state must be present for the most remote people. The people furthest from the major centres of life must enjoy a good quality of life,” said President Prabowo while virtually inaugurating the construction of bridges and water sources in Jakarta on Thursday. The President specifically appreciated and thanked the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for their contribution in building 3,395 bridges and 3,000 clean water sources. On behalf of the government and the public, Prabowo sent a message of appreciation to Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as well as all TNI and Polri personnel, for their efforts in building vital infrastructure for the community. The Head of State described the steps taken by the TNI and Polri as a noble mission and a form of service to the Indonesian people. He said this is tangible proof that the TNI and Polri work for the people’s interests. “You are the people’s soldiers, the people’s police, born from the people, fighting alongside the people, giving your best for the people, and ultimately you will also return to the people,” said Prabowo. The development is a concrete manifestation of mutual cooperation in Indonesia, working hand in hand to build infrastructure in areas with difficult access, some of which are even in remote regions. “Today you see proof once again that the Indonesian military, the TNI, and the Indonesian National Police have no other aspirations, no other will, except to serve their people, to serve their country,” Prabowo concluded.
