Prabowo Assembles Ministers at Hambalang to Discuss Energy and Food Security Ahead of Eid
President Prabowo Subianto convened several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet for a limited meeting at Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The meeting discussed national strategic measures and preparations ahead of the Eid holiday.
The meeting was posted on the Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat on Monday, 9 March 2026. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya disclosed that the meeting addressed progress and evaluation of programmes, including food self-sufficiency and energy initiatives.
“This strategic meeting focused on two main government agendas: progress in self-sufficiency, evaluating the development of programmes, food self-sufficiency and energy self-sufficiency as well as oil,” wrote Teddy.
The meeting also discussed preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026, including ensuring adequate stocks of foodstuffs and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
“Eid al-Fitr readiness: Ensuring the availability of foodstuffs and LPG supplies ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.
Also present were the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Head of the Presidential Special Staff Muhammad Qodari, and former Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi.
On the same day, Prabowo inaugurated 218 bailey, aramco, and pioneer bridges distributed across Indonesian territory, including in remote areas. Prabowo stated that the completion of the bridges, built within 2.5 months, was an extraordinary achievement.
“In the name of God, on Monday afternoon, 9 March 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate 77 bailey bridges, 59 aramco bridges, and 82 pioneer bridges,” said Prabowo during the inauguration ceremony, as seen from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.
