Prabowo Asks TNI/Polri to Deploy All Resources for Smooth Mudik Operation

Jakarta, Kompas.com – President Prabowo Subianto has requested the TNI and Polri to deploy all resources to assist the smooth running of mudik (homecoming travel).

This request was conveyed by Prabowo during a plenary cabinet session at the State Palace, Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, on Friday (13 March 2026).

“I also request the TNI Commander and National Police Chief to deploy the resources owned by the TNI-Polri to assist the smooth running of this mudik,” said Prabowo on Friday.

Prabowo explained that one of the resources that can be deployed is vessels belonging to the TNI Naval Force (AL) and Army (AD).

Meanwhile, he also instructed Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to ensure that discount policies for various transportation modes used for mudik are implemented properly.

These transportation modes include aeroplane tickets, train services, maritime vessels, and toll road discounts.

“Ensure good service at every location,” said Prabowo.

Subsequently, he instructed his subordinates to monitor the quality of service at rest areas, ports, airports, and all stations.

“For all ministries and agencies, I hope that we implement preparations for Eid, ensure that this year’s mudik runs smoothly, safely, comfortably and with great joy. Prioritise road safety and prepare all aspects thoroughly,” concluded Prabowo.
