Prabowo Asks Entire Economic Ministerial Team to Stand Before MPR and DPR

In his official address at the Annual Session of the MPR and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI, President Prabowo Subianto unexpectedly asked his economic ministers to stand.

Prabowo said he wanted to appreciate the work of his economic team. He asked the MPR to give recognition to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, the Finance Minister, and their team. He then asked the economic ministers to rise from their seats. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa was seen smiling broadly.

“I ask the assembly to give them recognition — the Finance Minister, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs. When the Finance Minister smiles, I feel safe, but when I announce subsidies, he shrinks,” he said jokingly.

On this occasion, Prabowo also appreciated the work of the BPI Danantara team.

“I give special recognition to the leadership of Danantara, with their entire team and network. Please stand, let us applaud,” he said.
