Prabowo arrives in Paris to meet Macron and discuss strategic cooperation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Paris, France, on Monday (13/4) at 23.50 local time, or approximately 04.50 WIB, after completing his diplomatic agenda in Moscow, Russia, to discuss strategic cooperation.

According to a statement from the Indonesian Government Communication Agency (Bakom) received in Jakarta on Tuesday, Prabowo’s arrival in the French capital is a continuation of Indonesia’s strategic diplomacy in Europe, following intensive bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace.

From Moscow, Prabowo flew directly to Paris, with a flight duration of about three and a half hours, arriving just before midnight local time.

During his stay in Paris, Prabowo is scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. The meeting will discuss enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries in various priority sectors.

Additionally, the cooperation will cover areas such as education and research, the creative economy, as well as addressing climate change and sustainable development. France is also one of Indonesia’s key partners in Europe in promoting investment and trade.

The meeting is expected to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, while opening up new, more concrete, and mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities.

The meeting also serves as a moment for Indonesia to convey its strategic views on global dynamics, while reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining stability and promoting world peace.
