Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Paris, France, on Monday (13/4) night at 23.50 local time, after completing his state agenda in Moscow, including a five-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“After holding a meeting that lasted five hours with President Putin at the Kremlin Palace, the President immediately departed for France with a flight time of around 3.5 hours and arrived in the middle of the night in Paris,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in his official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Teddy, who is accompanying the President in Paris, continued that President Prabowo is scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow (14/4), the President will hold a one-on-one meeting with President Macron at the Élysée Palace to discuss enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries,” he said.

The Cabinet Secretary then emphasised that the meeting between President Prabowo and President Macron will be an important momentum for Indonesia to convey its strategic views on global dynamics, including the Iran versus United States and Israel war, which is currently entering the ceasefire stage.

“In that meeting, the President, besides strengthening cooperation with the French Government, will also convey Indonesia’s position in maintaining stability and promoting world peace,” said Teddy.

From Moscow, President Prabowo flew to Paris using Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft PK-GIF.

At the airport, President Prabowo was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to France Mohamad Oemar, Defence Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Paris First Marshal TNI Hendra Gunawan, and several French Government officials.

The President’s visit to Paris this time is his second in 2026 after the first one on 23 January 2026.

During his visit in January, President Prabowo fulfilled an invitation from President Macron. The two met for 2.5 hours at the Élysée Palace, accompanied by a dinner reception.
