Prabowo Arrives in Jakarta After Working Visit to Japan and South Korea

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, after conducting a state visit to Japan and South Korea.

From footage on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, Prabowo landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base runway, Jakarta, in the middle of the night on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

Upon descending the stairs of the Presidential Aircraft, Prabowo was immediately greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming.

Prabowo immediately shook hands with Gibran and his aides.

He also briefly conversed before entering his official vehicle.

In Japan, Prabowo met with Japanese Emperor Naruhito on Monday (30/3/2026).

The following day, Prabowo also met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

During both visits, the President of the Republic brought several strategic cooperations in various sectors ranging from the economy, environment, renewable energy, to digital.
