Prabowo Arrives in Abu Dhabi, to Meet President MBZ
President Prabowo Subianto continued his working visit to Abu Dhabi. Prabowo will meet with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Quoted from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday (25/2/2026), Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying Prabowo and his entourage landed at the Presidential Flight Airport, Abu Dhabi at around 18.00 local time. Prabowo was welcomed by the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE, Judha Nugraha, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem AlDaheri, and Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Brigadier General Tony Aris Setiawan.
The welcoming ceremony was also marked by the presence of a guard of honour standing neatly on the side of the runway. This reception shows the high respect of the UAE government for the President of Indonesia.
From the airport, Prabowo and his entourage immediately went to the hotel where they will stay during their stay in Abu Dhabi. During this working visit, Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Prabowo’s working visit to Abu Dhabi is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE. The close bilateral relations between the two countries are expected to become even stronger through the meetings and cooperation agendas scheduled during the visit.
The visit to Abu Dhabi also marks the continuity of Indonesia’s active diplomacy in the region, as well as reaffirming Prabowo’s commitment to expanding a global network of mutually beneficial partnerships.
