Prabowo Arrives at the DPR, to Announce Draft APBN 2027

President Prabowo Subianto arrived to attend the 19th Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) at the DPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. He was welcomed by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani. Prabowo will present a speech on the Macro Economic Framework and Core Fiscal Policy of the RAPBN 2027. In the plenary agenda, the DPR’s Badan Legislasi will read a report on the Evaluation of the Second Amendment to the Prolegnas Priority List 2026, followed by a decision. The following agenda is the factions’ opinions on a Bill Initiative from Commission III of the DPR concerning amendments to Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a decision to become a DPR RI-originated Bill. ‘The reading of the macroeconomic framework and the core fiscal policy is usually read by the Finance Minister on behalf of the President. So if today it is read directly by the President, that indeed becomes a new tradition,’ Misbakhun said, after being met at the DPR building on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. ‘Be that as it may, the macroeconomic framework and the core fiscal policy, which are regularly carried out on May 20 as the opening round of APBN deliberations, kick off the initial round,’ Misbakhun added.
