Prabowo arrives at Elysee Palace greeted by French President Macron and wife

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Elysee Palace in France on Thursday at approximately 15:40 local time (20:40 WIB), greeted by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte. The Indonesian president arrived in a white sedan with state security escort and was seen wearing a grey suit, accompanied by a peci (traditional cap) and sunglasses. Following the welcoming ceremony, President Prabowo introduced members of the Merah Putih Cabinet who accompanied him on the Paris trip, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Investment and Downstreaming Minister and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, and Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. Also present were Prabowo’s son Ragowo Hediprasetyo (also known as Didit Hediprasetyo) and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. This state visit to France was made in response to a postponed invitation from Macron, who had previously proposed a late May visit during Prabowo’s last trip to Paris last month. The visit forms part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
