Prabowo arrives at DPR building, welcomed by MPR and DPD leaders

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday to attend the 2026 MPR Annual Session and the Joint DPR-DPD Session.

The President, who appeared to be wearing a grey suit, arrived at the venue at 08.08 Western Indonesia Time.

Prabowo stepped out of a Maung vehicle produced by PT Pindad (Persero), accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indrawijaya.

The Head of State was welcomed by MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani and DPD Speaker Sultan B. Najamudin. The three then walked together along the corridor towards the Kura-Kura Building, the venue for the annual state agenda.

Prabowo’s arrival followed that of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who had arrived earlier at 07.50 Western Indonesia Time. Gibran arrived accompanied by his wife, Selvi Ananda Putri.

On Friday, the MPR RI, DPR RI, and DPD RI are holding the MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint DPR RI-DPD RI Session.

One of the session’s agenda items is a speech by President Prabowo Subianto for the delivery of the Performance Report of State Institutions and the State Address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition to the speech, the government will also screen a video of performance achievements.

This annual session is a state agenda to welcome the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which carries the theme “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia”.
