JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House or Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul on Thursday (1/4/2026). From the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube broadcast, Prabowo was directly welcomed by Lee Jae Myung upon stepping out of the official vehicle prepared by the South Korean side. Prabowo arrived wearing a black suit, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono in the same vehicle. Lee Jae Myung and Prabowo then shook hands and embraced. The two national leaders subsequently walked into the Blue House grounds. An honour guard wearing traditional South Korean attire was also lined up to welcome the arrival of the Indonesian President. The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of Indonesia and South Korea. Prabowo gave a salute when the national anthems of both countries were played. Still in the Blue House courtyard, the two presidents walked on a red carpet while inspecting the troops. From the Indonesian side, attendees included Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. After introducing their respective delegations to each other, Lee Jae Myung and Prabowo along with their entourages entered the Blue House for the meeting.
