Prabowo: Approaching Two Years in Government, We Have Worked Very Hard

President Prabowo Subianto led a full cabinet meeting at the State Palace on Monday, 20 July 2026. The entire ranks of the Red and White Cabinet ministers and agency heads were present to hear evaluations and input from the head of state. Prabowo stressed that the cabinet meeting was an evaluation of all government programmes ahead of the two-year mark of his leadership. “Of course, we are holding this full cabinet meeting to evaluate what we have done,” Prabowo said. “I think not only you, but myself as well. In these years, approaching our two years, we have worked very hard, intensively, and rapidly,” he continued. He explained that Indonesia has achieved many things as the two-year point approaches, attributing this to the hard and fast work of all Red and White Cabinet ministers. “Sometimes, by working so hard and so intensively, we ourselves do not fully realise how much we have achieved in our first two years,” he stated. On the other hand, he acknowledged that Indonesia faces significant challenges. Prabowo also noted that current global upheavals are uncertain. “Because we face very big problems, we face a world full of turmoil, and we also face bitter realities that we must acknowledge. These are our collective challenges; we are not looking to assign blame,” he said. He stressed that every element of the leadership must give their best to the people, as they have all been given a mandate and trust by the public. “We, as children of the nation, as elements of leadership, all of us here are political leaders, technocratic leaders, cultural leaders, community leaders, and we have been given a mandate by the people to face and solve problems,” he stated.
