Prabowo Appreciates Free Nutritious Meal Programme Implementers for Strengthening Human Resource Quality
President Prabowo Subianto has conveyed his appreciation to all implementers of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme who have been serving in various regions to strengthen the improvement of human resource quality towards Indonesia Emas 2045. The President’s appreciation was delivered during the ‘Building Indonesia’s Future Generations Through Nutrition’ event held at the Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday.
“Thank you for your service so far in remote and difficult areas. Thank you for your dedication and your loyalty,” said President Prabowo, via a statement from the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta.
The event was attended by 12,173 participants, including Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG), Regional Coordinators of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), Regional Coordinators, Heads of SPPG, and MBG Programme implementation partners from across Indonesia.
According to Nanik, the group includes 20 KPPGs overseeing nutrition fulfilment services from Sabang to Merauke, led by civil servants, alongside regional SPPG coordinators from across the country. While the event was attended by participants from DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten, a total of 5,873 programme implementation partners participated in the programme.
Other implementation elements from various regions were also present to strengthen coordination for the MBG Programme. Accompanying the President were the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, the State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, as well as several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet and heads of state institutions.
The government emphasised that this event serves as a momentum to strengthen national coordination and align the steps of programme implementers to ensure that the MBG programme runs effectively, sustainably, and reaches its intended targets. The Free Nutritious Meal Programme is regarded as part of the human resource development strategy to support the emergence of a healthy, strong, and competitive generation towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
