Prabowo Appoints Sudaryono as New Head of National Nutrition Agency

President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Sudaryono as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The appointment follows the resignation of the previous head, Nanik S Deyang, who stepped down for health reasons.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced the decision, noting that Sudaryono, who currently serves as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, has been involved with the agency’s free nutritious meal programme since its inception. Hadi explained that the programme’s supply chain and food sources are heavily supported by the agricultural ecosystem, making Sudaryono’s background particularly relevant.

The appointment is definitive, and Sudaryono will not hold concurrent positions. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 15:00 WIB this afternoon.
