Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has formed the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Enhancement. This is outlined in Presidential Decree No. 4 of 2026, which was promulgated on 11 March 2026.

The task force has four main duties. First, to coordinate the acceleration of government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement, including the Economic Package Programme, Economic Stimulus Programme, Government Priority Programme, Main Programmes in several ministries/institutions, and other programmes based on the President’s directives.

Second, to establish integrated and collaborative strategic steps for accelerating government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement;

Third, to monitor and evaluate the realisation of budgets supporting government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement;

Fourth, to establish breakthrough steps to resolve strategic issues quickly and accurately in accelerating government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement;

Fifth, to carry out other duties assigned by the President. The task force is directly accountable to the President.

The task force’s membership structure is led by Chair I, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Chair II, the State Secretary Minister, Deputy Chair I, the Finance Minister, Deputy Chair II, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, and Deputy Chair III, the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency.

Meanwhile, the task force members consist of 27 ministers and agency heads, starting from the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Manpower, Minister of Trade, Minister of Industry, Minister of Tourism, Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Minister of Agriculture, to the Head of the Implementing Agency of the Nusantara Future Investment Management Agency.

To assist in carrying out its duties, the task force will form working groups and a secretariat. The structure will be determined by Chair I of the task force, as stated in Article 7.

In addition, the task force will report its task implementation to the President through Chair I periodically every six months or as needed. Article 11 also explains that all costs required for task and function implementation shall be sourced from the State Budget of the respective ministries/institutions, or other lawful sources in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
