Prabowo Apologises for Missing Abadi Masela LNG Groundbreaking, Promises to Visit Maluku

President Prabowo Subianto has apologised for not attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the Abadi Masela liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in the Tanimbar Islands, Maluku, in person. Speaking via video conference, Prabowo described the event as a historic moment for national investment and development. “As a person of faith, let us never cease to offer praise and gratitude to God Almighty, the Lord of all worlds, for the blessings, goodness, and peace still granted to us, and for the breath and health we still have, allowing us to gather today for this historic moment, a very important moment in the nation’s development journey, the groundbreaking of the Abadi Masela LNG national strategic project in the Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province,” Prabowo said. He apologised for his absence, explaining that he was unable to leave Jakarta due to various commitments. “I feel I owe a debt to the people of Maluku, and God willing, I will repay that debt by visiting in the near future,” he added.
