Prabowo: Anyone Threatening PKH Task Force is Threatening the President of Indonesia

President Prabowo Subianto has affirmed his support for the efforts of the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) in restoring state finances. This was stated by Prabowo at the handover of Rp11.4 trillion from forestry administrative fine collections by Satgas PKH at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday (10/4). “If anyone threatens members of Satgas PKH, they are threatening the President of the Republic of Indonesia. If anyone obstructs the work of Satgas PKH, they are obstructing the work of the President of the Republic of Indonesia.” “And believe me, I will use all the authority and power given by the 1945 Constitution to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. I will use it to uphold the law for all of you, without favouritism, without regard to who it is,” Prabowo added. Prabowo admitted to receiving much information about threats and intimidation faced by Satgas PKH while working. “I understand you all, I understand because a president has many eyes and ears. I know many Satgas PKH members are threatened, some are intimidated and so on. Once again, I greatly appreciate your work and sacrifices,” said Prabowo. “Brothers and sisters, protecting the nation’s wealth, saving the nation’s wealth is truly an honourable and noble task. On behalf of all the Indonesian people and on my own behalf, I want to express my thanks to all of you working in Satgas PKH,” he continued. Prabowo acknowledged that the work of Satgas PKH to return state finances is far from easy. Especially with Indonesia’s archipelagic geography that complicates field checks. “To inspect, to audit, to check in the field is not easy. For us, for the elites in Jakarta, in air-conditioned rooms, we can imagine how difficult the work of Satgas PKH is,” he explained.
