Prabowo Announces Holiday Allowance for Online Ride-Hailing Drivers for First Time: Rp 400,000 to Rp 1.6 Million

JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Minister of Labour Yassierli, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, and Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani to ensure that holiday allowances (THR) for 2026 are paid promptly to all civil servants at national and regional levels.

Additionally, Prabowo has requested that online ride-hailing drivers (ojol) also receive holiday bonuses.

“Minister of Labour, Minister of Finance, and Minister of Investment, ensure that holiday allowances for all civil servants, national and regional levels, are implemented on time. Also holiday bonuses for workers in the online transportation sector,” said Prabowo during a Cabinet Meeting at the Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

According to Prabowo, it is only during his administration that online ride-hailing drivers have been able to receive THR.

“Ensure that what we have determined reaches them, namely between Rp 400,000 to Rp 1.6 million per person,” he explained.
