Prabowo Angered Over False Reports: Stop Playing Games with Me
President Prabowo Subianto issued a stern warning to his staff against submitting false reports or reports created merely to please their superiors. He called for all reports to be presented honestly and based on actual conditions.
Prabowo made these remarks during his address at the first thanksgiving ceremony for Danantara at Wisma Danantara in South Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. Prabowo stated that he wished to focus on important matters related to state asset management.
He also highlighted Indonesia’s achievement in now possessing a state wealth management institution equivalent to sovereign wealth funds in various countries.
“Actually, I also want to focus on important matters. We should be grateful that we now have an institution that can be equated with sovereign wealth funds in the world,” he said.
According to Prabowo, Indonesia should be grateful to now possess a sovereign wealth fund that he considered among the largest in the world. He also assessed that management over the past year has demonstrated positive results.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a sovereign wealth fund, perhaps the seventh largest in the world. We are also grateful that the management over one year,” he continued.
However, Prabowo admitted difficulty in obtaining truly accurate reports. For this reason, he warned strongly against any further manipulation of reports or reports created merely to please superiors.
“This has already proven that with good management, with proper administration, especially with the right will, with political will, with the right spirit, results are already visible,” he said.
“I struggle to get reports, hopefully this report is accurate. Stop playing games with me anymore with false reports, pleasing reports, reports for scheming purposes. I am issuing a stern warning on this,” Prabowo added.
Despite his stern warning, Prabowo expressed considerable satisfaction with several reports he had received. He noted that asset management performance showed significant improvement.
“I received reports and I am quite pleased. Written-on assets in 2025 compared to the previous year have increased by more than 300 per cent. This is quite good,” he said.
