Prabowo and Purbaya Discuss Economic Strategy at Kertanegara Meeting
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has revealed the content of a meeting involving several members of the Red and White Cabinet summoned by President Prabowo Subianto at Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday evening (14/6/2026). Purbaya stated that during the meeting, the Head of State simply asked him and his fellow cabinet ministers to formulate an economic strategy. “It was a routine visit to Kertanegara, discussing economic strategy,” Purbaya said at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday (15/6/2026). He declined to detail the latest economic strategy being devised by the government. Purbaya only emphasised that the details discussed were highly varied and had not yet reached a decision stage. “Many, various things, but they are still being discussed,” Purbaya revealed. President Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of Red and White Cabinet members to his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday (14/6/2026). The meeting, held on a public holiday, was attended by several ministers and strategic economic officials, including Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Head of the SOE Regulatory Agency Dony Oskaria. Through an official post on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya disclosed that one of the main agendas of the meeting was a report on the increasing global investment interest in Indonesia. Teddy stated that the President received a report from the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, who also serves as Head of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, Rosan Roeslani, regarding the results of his working visits to the United States, several European countries, and Asia. “The report demonstrates valid facts and data showing the rising international confidence in Indonesia, reflected in the high interest and inflow of investment into various national strategic sectors,” Teddy said.
