Prabowo and Pramono Ride Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT Before Inauguration

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading - Manggarai line in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/9).

Observations showed that Prabowo arrived shortly before 1:00 PM WIB, travelling in a Maung vehicle. He was welcomed by the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung. Prabowo was dressed in a khaki shirt paired with a navy blue hat.

Previously, the inauguration of this LRT line was scheduled for 26 August 2026. However, the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) decided to adjust the inauguration schedule for the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT route.

The decision to delay was made after relevant parties conducted a final evaluation of the overall implementation of activities. This step was taken to consider service refinements in order to provide greater inclusivity for passengers.

The Head of the Jakarta Provincial Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik), Marulina Dewi, stated that the new inauguration schedule will be announced once the implementation time is finalised. She ensured that the change only pertains to the timing of the inauguration, not the development agenda of the Jakarta LRT.

“After conducting a final evaluation of the overall implementation of activities, the Jakarta Provincial Government decided to reschedule the inauguration of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai Jakarta LRT,” she stated in a written statement on Wednesday (26/8).

She confirmed that the Jakarta Provincial Government, together with PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), will continue to execute the planned stages regarding the development of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai corridor.
