Prabowo and Police Chief Hold Private Meeting in Hambalang, Topics Discussed

President Prabowo Subianto summoned National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The one-on-one meeting lasted for one hour.

The moment of the meeting was uploaded to the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account on Friday (24/4/2026). The two are seen meeting inside a room.

Prabowo and General Sigit sat facing each other, separated by a table. Prabowo was seen wearing a safari suit, while General Sigit wore his official uniform.

“President Prabowo Subianto summoned National Police Chief General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo to the Hambalang residence on Friday, 24 April 2026,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in the upload caption.

Teddy stated that the two discussed national security and the general national situation. “In the approximately one-hour meeting, several matters related to national security and the general national situation in various strategic sectors were discussed,” he said.

The Police Chief, according to Teddy, also reported on the development of several strategic police programmes. These include strengthening the digital transformation of public services, improving the professionalism of members from recruitment to service, and efforts to maintain security and public order sustainably by involving all elements of society.

Teddy continued that Prabowo and General Sigit also discussed steps to strengthen national programmes, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme and improvements in public services.

“In addition, synergies between the Police and various related institutions and sectors were discussed to strengthen national programmes, both in the agriculture, food, nutritious meals, rapid disaster response, and public service improvement sectors,” he said.
