Prabowo and PM Narendra Modi Arrive at Prambanan Temple

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, on Wednesday (8/7). His arrival in Yogyakarta was part of a joint agenda with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the Prambanan Temple Complex. Upon arrival at the airport, Prabowo was greeted by several regional officials. He then proceeded to the welcoming area to await the arrival of PM Modi, who was scheduled to land at the same airport. Shortly thereafter, PM Modi arrived at Yogyakarta International Airport and was welcomed directly by Prabowo. The two leaders were seen shaking hands and exchanging warm greetings before continuing their series of activities in Yogyakarta. From Yogyakarta International Airport, Prabowo and PM Modi departed by helicopter to the Adisucipto Air Force Base in Sleman Regency. The journey was part of PM Modi’s state visit agenda to Indonesia, which also affirmed the close historical and cultural ties between Indonesia and India. After arriving at Adisucipto Air Force Base, the two leaders continued their journey to the Prambanan Temple Complex in Sleman Regency. At the world heritage site, Prabowo and PM Modi were scheduled to review several points within the temple area. In addition to the review, they also witnessed the signing of a plaque for Indonesia-India cultural heritage conservation cooperation for Prambanan Temple. The agenda symbolises the strengthening of cultural collaboration between Indonesia and India, which has been established for centuries. The visit to Prambanan Temple is part of PM Modi’s state visit to Indonesia. Through this agenda, the two countries not only strengthen bilateral relations in politics, economy, and strategy but also affirm the importance of cultural cooperation as a bridge for friendship between Indonesia and India.
