Prabowo and National Police Chief Discuss National Security Stability
President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (25/6). During the meeting, the Police Chief delivered a report on the latest developments regarding the security and public order situation in various regions across Indonesia. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, in a written statement, explained that the National Police affirmed its commitment to continuously maintaining national stability to support the implementation of the government’s development programmes. “The Police Chief reported the latest developments on the security and public order situation in various regions of Indonesia. The report covers the national security and public order conditions as well as various measures the National Police continue to take to maintain stability and support the smooth running of the national development agenda,” Teddy wrote. Beyond discussing security conditions, the Police Chief also outlined various preparations his institution is making ahead of the 2026 Bhayangkara Day commemoration. A number of social and community activities have been designed to be held simultaneously across various regions of Indonesia. “The Police Chief also conveyed the readiness of the Indonesian National Police ranks, who will soon hold a series of events for the 2026 Bhayangkara Day commemoration,” said Teddy. He added that the series of activities is not merely part of the Bhayangkara Day commemoration, but also serves as a means to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community. “Various social and community service activities throughout Indonesia have been prepared to commemorate this moment of the National Police’s dedication to the nation and state, while also strengthening the closeness of the police institution with the public,” he concluded.
