Prabowo and Mahmoud Abbas discuss latest developments in Palestine

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday evening to discuss the latest developments and reaffirm support for the Palestinian people’s struggle. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that Indonesia will continue to stand with Palestine, a commitment reiterated when President Prabowo took the call from President Abbas, reflecting the close ties between the two nations built on brotherhood, solidarity, and support for the Palestinian cause. During the conversation, President Mahmoud Abbas conveyed the latest developments in Palestine and expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s consistent tangible support for the Palestinian people. According to President Abbas, Indonesia’s voice and leadership under President Prabowo carry significant weight and attract broad attention in various international forums. Steps taken to support the Palestinian struggle include sending logistics by air and sea, deploying a hospital ship and medical personnel, sending 100 Palestinian children to study at the Defence University, and Indonesia’s firm advocacy in various global forums. Indonesia’s support for Palestine is a constitutional mandate and a reflection of the consistency of its foreign policy, which stands for independence, humanity, and world peace.
