Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and French President Emmanuel Macron have expressed support for Palestinian statehood during a press conference following Prabowo’s welcoming ceremony at the Élysée Palace in Paris, France, on Thursday, 28 May 2026.

Prabowo stated that stability in the Middle East is crucial and directly impacts global energy and supply chains, making regional peace a shared priority.

“I am delighted that France is a pioneer in encouraging many European and Western nations to support a two-state solution for Palestinian independence,” he said.

” Indonesia firmly believes that lasting Middle East peace is impossible without a two-state solution and justice for Palestinians,” added the Gerakan Indonesia Raya party chairman.

Prabowo further highlighted Indonesia’s view of France and Europe as significant global powers, expressing a desire to see their role strengthen.

” This will enable cooperation in a multipolar world. We believe a multipolar world will foster balance and support global peace,” he concluded.
