Prabowo and Lukashenko Meeting Opens New Chapter for Indonesia-Belarus Cooperation

The meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (2/7/2026) marked a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to launching the Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation Roadmap 2026–2030, the two countries also agreed on seven memoranda of understanding covering various strategic sectors, from industry to food security. The roadmap will serve as a direction for developing bilateral relations over the next five years, with cooperation focused on trade, manufacturing, and modern agriculture to support food security. The warm atmosphere of the bilateral meeting provided a space for dialogue to explore broader cooperation opportunities amidst global economic dynamics.
