Prabowo and Indian PM Modi Visit Prambanan Temple by Helicopter
President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a helicopter together to visit Prambanan Temple. The helicopter carrying the two leaders briefly circled the Prambanan Temple complex.
Citing a press release from the Presidential Secretariat Office on Wednesday (8/7/2026), Prabowo had arrived earlier at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). He then proceeded to the welcoming area to await the arrival of PM Modi, who was also scheduled to land at the same airport.
Shortly after, PM Modi arrived at Yogyakarta International Airport and was immediately greeted by Prabowo. The two leaders shook hands and exchanged warm greetings before continuing their joint agenda in Yogyakarta.
From Yogyakarta International Airport, Prabowo and PM Modi boarded a helicopter together to Adisutjipto Air Force Base in Sleman Regency. The journey was part of PM Modi’s visit to Indonesia, which also underscored the historical and cultural closeness between the two nations.
Upon arrival at Adisutjipto Air Force Base, the two leaders continued their journey by land to the Prambanan Temple complex in Sleman Regency. At the world heritage site, Prabowo and PM Modi toured several points within the Prambanan Temple area.
In addition to the tour, Prabowo and PM Modi were scheduled to witness the signing of a plaque for Indonesia-India cultural heritage conservation cooperation for Prambanan Temple. The visit to Prambanan Temple was one of the main agendas in PM Modi’s state visit to Indonesia.
