Two large cows stood in the backyard of Istiqlal Mosque today during the Eid al-Adha 1447 H celebrations. The cows, weighing 1.3 tonnes and 1.2 tonnes respectively, belong to President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. They were positioned side by side near the Ar-Rahman gate under a tent.

The size of the animals caught the attention of attendees, including Tia from West Jakarta. Tia, who has attended Eid prayers at Istiqlal for two years, said she regularly sees the President’s and Vice President’s sacrificial cows and always takes photos with them. “The cows are huge, interesting, very large. I’m actually a bit scared. I’ve been attending Eid prayers at Istiqlal for two years now. Yes, I always see the President’s and VP’s sacrificial cows, and yes, I always take photos with them. I’m curious,” she explained.

Ekky, another attendee, brought his child to view the cows after prayers. “As a parent, I brought my child to see the President’s and VP’s sacrificial cows to introduce them to the animals. Kids love animals, and since there are only two special ones here, it’s a good interactive experience,” he said. Ekky added the cows were impressive: “Very large, quite stylish. They have a certain style, and they’re blonde. Perfect for making a lasting impression on children.”
