Prabowo and Gibran Attend 80th National Police Anniversary at Brimob Training Centre

President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony in 2026 at the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, on Wednesday (1/7/2026). The head of state arrived at approximately 7.58 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. Distinguished guests in attendance included Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo, 10th and 12th Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla, House Speaker Puan Maharani, Regional Representative Council Speaker Sultan Bahtiar Najamudin, Nasdem Party Chairman Surya Paloh, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas), and the wife of the late 4th President KH Abdurrahman Wahid, Sinta Nuriyah Wahid. Members of the Red and White Cabinet present included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Maman Abdurrahman, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights and Corrections Otto Hasibuan, and Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The ceremony was led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia as Inspector of the Ceremony. The 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration was enlivened with various artistic performances and attractions. Following the ceremony, the event continued with a demonstration of National Police capabilities and a defile featuring a convoy of tactical vehicles, parachute jumps, and a parade of troops from various National Police, Indonesian National Armed Forces, and partner units. On this occasion, State Honours of the Republic of Indonesia were also conferred. The Nugraha Sakanti award was presented to 11 work units and regional police forces, namely Polda Metro Jaya, Polda Banten, Polda North Sumatra, Polda Riau, Polda Lampung, Polda Central Java, Polda West Java, Polda Central Kalimantan, Polda East Java, the Police Legal Division, and the Police Finance Centre. Meanwhile, the Bintang Bhayangkara Narariya was awarded to Senior Superintendent Dr. Prasetiyo Adhi Wibowo, Police Inspector Nengsi Marline Waromy, and Chief Brigadier Wawan Setiyawan. In addition, the National Police Chief conferred the Loka Praja Samrakshana Public Security and Safety Medal of Honour upon the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
