Prabowo and German President Steinmeier Hold Bilateral Meeting

President Prabowo Subianto and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier held a tête-à-tête at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday. Following a welcoming ceremony, the two heads of state entered the palace, where President Steinmeier signed the guest book accompanied by President Prabowo. The leaders then shook hands and posed for photographs together. They were seen sitting side by side in conversation. The bilateral meeting is expected to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Germany across various fields. During the visit, the two countries will emphasise their shared goal of expanding cooperation in business, energy, climate, skilled labour recruitment, and culture. President Steinmeier is also scheduled to participate in a discussion with experts from local think tanks on middle powers and Germany’s role in a dynamic global order.
