Prabowo and Dasco Hold Private Meeting at the Palace, Discussing Political Situation to National Economy

Jakarta, VIVA – President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received a visit from Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at Merdeka Palace on Thursday, 16 April 2026. The two discussed several strategic matters after the Head of State completed his overseas trip. “Today, President Prabowo Subianto received the Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI, Prof. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, at Merdeka Palace on 16 April 2026, to receive reports on several strategic matters upon President Prabowo’s return from his overseas trip,” wrote Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya in his statement. Seskab Teddy explained that in the meeting, President Prabowo received information on strategic developments within the country. Dasco directly reported to President Prabowo on several recent developments ranging from politics to the national economy. “In the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI Prof. Sufmi Dasco conveyed several developments in the political situation, security, and national economy,” he stated. In addition, Seskab Teddy said that Sufmi Dasco also conveyed several inputs from the DPR’s legislative function to the government.
