Prabowo Allocates Record-High State Budget of IDR 4,097 Trillion for 2027
President Prabowo Subianto has delivered the draft posture of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) in the 2027 Draft State Budget (RAPBN), covering revenue, expenditure, and budget financing targets.
The draft was presented in the Speech Introducing the Financial Note and the 2027 RAPBN at the DPR RI Building in Jakarta on Friday (14/8/2026).
In the 2027 RAPBN, the government proposes state revenue of Rp3,426.0 trillion. This target is an increase of Rp272.4 trillion, or 8.6%, compared to the 2026 APBN of Rp3,153.6 trillion.
Meanwhile, state expenditure is planned to reach Rp4,097.2 trillion, the highest in Indonesia’s history. The figure is up Rp254.5 trillion, or 6.6%, compared to the 2026 APBN ceiling of Rp3,842.7 trillion.
With these revenue and expenditure figures, the budget deficit in 2027 is planned at Rp671.2 trillion, equivalent to 2.40% of gross domestic product (GDP).
This deficit is Rp17.9 trillion lower, or down 2.6%, compared to the 2026 APBN of Rp689.1 trillion. The deficit-to-GDP ratio also declines from 2.68% to 2.40%.
