Prabowo Aims to Build 100 GW Solar Power Capacity, At Latest in Two Years
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto wants to have a solar power plant (PLTS) capacity of up to 100 gigawatts. The plan is to achieve this target at the latest in two years. He stated that Indonesia can currently produce around 11 GW of solar power domestically. As part of the energy security agenda, Prabowo also aspires to build an ecosystem for the clean vehicle industry, so that ultimately vehicles in Indonesia will run on solar power. From his calculations, using solar power, people would only need to spend 20% of the usual total for energy costs.
