Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has completed his visit to Bekasi City General Hospital to check on the victims of the collision between the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train and the KRL Commuter Line on Tuesday morning (28/4/2026).

Based on observations by CNBC Indonesia, Prabowo arrived around 08:40 WIB and left the hospital around 09:05 WIB. Speaking to journalists waiting in front of Bekasi City General Hospital, Prabowo conveyed his concern.

“Of course, we are all concerned and shocked by the accident that has occurred. I extend my condolences on a personal note and on behalf of the government,” he said.

Prabowo also assured that the government will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the collision between the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train and the KRL Commuter Line.

The President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia, Bobby Rasyidin, revealed that the number of fatalities from the tragic incident is seven people. Meanwhile, 81 passengers who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment. In addition, three passengers remain trapped inside the train carriages.

“The evacuation process requires a relatively long time, around 8 (eight) hours, considering it is carried out with great care and prioritising safety aspects. To date, the evacuation of 12 carriages of the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train has been successfully completed and all have been moved to Bekasi Station,” said Bobby, as quoted from the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet.

Bobby is also preparing the evacuation process for the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train locomotive, while maintaining intensive coordination with Basarnas. This coordination is aimed at ensuring the entire process proceeds with caution and prioritises safety, especially for the victims still inside the train carriages.
