Prabowo Affirms Polri's Strategic Role in Maintaining Public Order

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto has emphasised that the Indonesian National Police (Polri) plays a strategic role in maintaining public order as a foundation for national development and progress.

In his mandate during the 80th Bhayangkara Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Brimob Polri Training Unit (Satlat) in Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, the President stated that a nation’s success cannot be separated from the presence of a professional police institution that is trusted by the community.

“Therefore, the role of the police is very important, very strategic, and very decisive,” said Prabawa.

Prabowo expressed his appreciation to all members of Polri who have carried out their duties in maintaining security and order across all regions of Indonesia.

“Polri is present for the people. Polri works for the people. Polri must protect the people. Polri serves the nation and the state,” he said.

According to him, all development agendas require a conducive security situation.

Prabowo added that economic growth, investment, and public welfare cannot be realised without legal certainty and security stability.

“And it is impossible for any country to be strong without state apparatus that is trusted by the people, loyal to the people, and protects the people,” the President said.
