Prabowo affirms Indonesia is friendly with all global powers
Jakarta (ANTARA) — President Prabowo Subianto has once again affirmed his foreign policy position that Indonesia maintains friendship with all global powers and is committed to not interfering in the domestic affairs of other nations.
Before a gathering of Islamic scholars, religious leaders and government officials, President Prabowo explained that his approach represents the path established by the nation’s founders.
“Under my leadership and with all my assistants, the Indonesian nation is determined to maintain friendship and good relations with all nations, with all countries, with all powers. We do not wish to interfere in the domestic affairs of any country. We respect all global powers, both large and small,” said President Prabowo whilst delivering remarks at the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration event at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
“This is the path indicated by the founders of our nation. This has also been indicated by nearly all religious teachers from all faiths that we will work very hard to maintain peace,” he added.
The President’s commitment and his administration’s dedication to preserving peace constituted one of the key focuses of President Prabowo’s address at the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration.
In the same speech, President Prabowo acknowledged that maintaining and preserving peace requires considerable effort.
“Of course, maintaining peace is not merely through prayer and hope, but also through striving, through hard work to achieve prosperity and justice. We recognise that peace cannot fall from heaven without effort and hard work from all of us. We have been blessed by the Almighty with tremendous wealth,” said President Prabowo.
After discussing peace, President Prabowo then sought the support of religious leaders, particularly in maintaining national unity and integrity.
“I thank the religious scholars, the religious teachers, the community leaders. Let us unite, let us work hard, let us protect and save all our people. I ask for your continued prayers, I ask for your support, we will succeed. We will prevail, we will overcome all difficulties,” said the President.
