Prabowo Affirms Bright Future for Indonesia's Youth

President Prabowo Subianto has once again demonstrated great optimism towards Indonesia’s future, especially for the younger generation, despite the circulation of many pessimistic narratives. He affirmed that Indonesia’s future is instead in a phase of resurgence.

This statement was delivered during the inauguration of the electric commercial vehicle assembly plant owned by PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk in Magelang on Thursday (9/4). Prabowo responded to views that suggest Indonesia is in a gloomy condition.

“So for the young people, our future is bright. Those who say it’s not bright, who say Indonesia is dark, perhaps their eyes aren’t good. Their eyes and hearts. If a person’s heart isn’t sincere, their eyes are blurred, Indonesia is dark,” he said in a speech witnessed via the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube on Thursday (9/4).

According to Prabowo, negative perceptions of Indonesia do not reflect reality. He assessed that Indonesia has strong foundations to continue developing and growing.

“Indonesia is not dark, Indonesia is very bright. We are very strong, our growth is getting better,” said Prabowo with conviction.

In addition, Prabowo also signalled that the government will take major steps in the near future. He affirmed that Indonesia will deliver surprises on the global stage in the coming years.

“Next year we will create a surprise for the whole world,” said Prabowo.

In his speech, Prabowo described Indonesia as a great power that is rising. He emphasised that the era of the ‘sleeping giant’ has ended and Indonesia is now entering a more active phase of resurgence.

“Indonesia is rising. This giant is waking up. We will no longer be the sleeping giant. We are rising,” Prabowo asserted firmly.
