Prabowo Advises Iran, US and Israel to Seek Peaceful Options
JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has called for an end to hostilities between Iran, the United States and Israel.
“My advice is always to seek peaceful options,” Prabowo stated in a statement from the Indonesian Government Communications Agency, Monday (16 March 2026).
Prabowo urged all parties to be willing to engage in dialogue to resolve the conflict.
The President reminded observers that Indonesia consistently implements the principle of independent and active foreign policy in accordance with the 1945 Constitution.
“We cannot be part of any military alliance,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo emphasised that Indonesia stands on its own feet and does not depend on the power of other nations.
“When something happens, we cannot depend on anyone,” he stated.
The head of state added that Indonesia maintains good relations with all neighbouring countries and maintains a defensive military posture.
