Prabowo Acknowledges Existence of Officials Disappointing the Nation
Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has acknowledged that there remain certain elements of leadership and officials who are disappointing in terms of their responsibility to the nation and state.
“There are still certain leadership elements that are disappointing in terms of responsibility to the nation and state,” said Prabowo whilst virtually inaugurating 218 bridges across various regions, as seen from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel in Jakarta on Monday afternoon.
Prabowo assessed that the Indonesian nation still faces various obstacles, difficulties, and shortcomings. According to him, a number of these deficiencies relate to the performance of officials, bureaucrats, and personnel in the field.
On one hand, there are many personnel working very well, but on the other hand there are still certain leadership elements deemed not yet to have fulfilled their responsibility to the state.
The President stated that this condition needs to be acknowledged openly, and not merely convey positive matters alone.
“We must acknowledge this. Let us not always speak of good things, of sweet things. I want to convey this because we are aware and understand that our world now is full of dangerous dynamics,” he said.
Furthermore, Prabowo also touched on the current global situation, which he considered full of dynamics and risks, with various conflicts occurring in several regions.
The Head of State mentioned that major wars occurred in Europe, particularly in Ukraine, and tensions have now expanded in the Middle East region.
Prabowo assessed that whilst Indonesia is geographically far from these conflict zones, developments occurring in one region can affect other areas because the world today is increasingly interconnected.
“Although we are geographically far from that place, our earth has truly become small. What happens in one region will affect other regions,” said the President.
